About Space2b
Space2b is a social enterprise supporting newly arrived migrants, refugees and people seeking asylum to become financially independent. Space2b workspace includes a shop, ArtSpace Gallery, design studio, workshop, café and small business hub in the City of Port Phillip.
We are very pleased to introduce the Space2b Design Competition 2023.
Calling all CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) Artists! Space2b is looking for three designs for our Artist Range 2023/24 to be printed on our tea towels, soaps, chocolates and more.
THREE WINNERS WILL RECIEVE:
- The opportunity to exhibit an additional three artworks to the month-long exhibition in June in celebration of refugee week
- $150 plus your winning design printed on a tea towel and soap packaging
- Product launch and exhibition opening to promote and sell your artwork
- 100% of any artwork sales in the June exhibition
All applicant's artworks will be exhibited and for sale for the month of June 2023 to celebrate refugee week from Thursday 1st June - Saturday 1st July 2023 in the Space2b ArtSpace at 144 Chapel St, St Kilda.

ARTWORK SUBMISSIONS
Dimensions: Must be A3 (29.7cm x 42 cm) (portrait)
Submissions Closes: Monday 24th April. Late registrations will not be accepted.
Note: Only one submission per artist only. Multiple entries will not be accepted.

Personal Information
Tax Declaration
It's important that as an exhibitor, you provide an ABN to Space2b or indicate that you are a hobby artist, otherwise we are by law, obliged to withhold 48.5% for the Australian Tax Office from any sale on top of the commission which goes to Space2b.
Payment of Artwork Sales
All sales payments to artists will be processed within 21 working days after the exhibition closes. To help us process payments, please provide us with your bank account details.
Artwork Information
Artwork Criteria:
- Artwork must be a 2D format (2-Dimensional)
- Accepted medium: mixed media, watercolour, oils, acrylic, collage, photography and prints
- Artwork submissions must be in a digitalised format (300dpi high-resolution image)
- Video not accepted
- Artwork must be the original work of the registered artist, and not exhibited previously
- Artwork must measure at 29.7cm and 42cm longest side
- Artwork must be ready to hang (see image below) with cord and D-rings attached for the exhibition
- Reverse of paintings must be labelled with your name, artwork title and price

Submission Process
Once you have registered and signed the T&C's, post an image of your artwork on Instagram with the hashtag #Space2bArtistRangeComp2023 and tag us @space2b_design
Delivery of Artwork
Date: Artwork delivery for installation to Space2b at 144 Chapel St, St Kilda on Monday 29th May 10.30am-12.30pm
Bring with you
- A copy of your registration form and confirmation email from Space2b (screenshot is fine)
- Your completed, ready to hang artwork as per T&C’s
